Letters to the editor
Field Notes reads its own mail. Replies are personal, occasionally slow, and always considered.
Letters to the editor
letters [at] fieldnotes.sbs — for corrections, counter-examples, and dissenting reports from your own desk. Selected letters are quoted (anonymously if you prefer) in follow-up dispatches. If you would rather your letter stay private, please say so at the top; that request is always honoured.
Story ideas
tips [at] fieldnotes.sbs — for suggestions of tools, workflows or small operational decisions worth a field report. Not every tip becomes a report, but every tip is read.
Not accepting
- PR pitches, product press releases, or embargoed briefings. Field Notes is not a press outlet.
- Sponsorship inquiries — the newsletter is reader-supported and will remain so.
- Guest submissions — every dispatch is written by hand.
Corrections
Every substantive correction to a published dispatch is applied with a dated note at the bottom of the affected report. If you spot something wrong, please write in — I would rather look silly than leave a wrong thing on the internet.
